With two grocery stores closeby open until late, and great restaurants, food stores, bakeries, wines shops, and tons of boutiques and shops around the corner, the Marais/Châtelet vicinity offers every commercial aspect of Parisian life. The area is also very cultural - with the Pompidou Museum down the street, the Hôtel de Ville and the Seine only a few minutes away, the Picasso Museum fairly close by and the Louvre only 10 minutes away, the area is very exciting as well as practical.
